name: Bassim Hanna Petros
country: New Zealand
subject: Why 'Marcel'?
comments: Because you are not like others who held 'singing' as profession for their living. And, the 'message' you are spreading its contex has no 'dead end'; that is Marcel, the one I knew well.

name: Suad Yaghmour
country: USA
subject: MARCEL IS THE BEST
comments: I was raised on the songs of Marcel as a child, I always thought he was from Palestine. Now I live in USA and it has been four years since I have seen Palestine. When I heard Marcel last night in NY I could not stop crying I felt joy, sorrow, pain, love it was amazing. I saw all the tragedies of Palestine in front of me dancing along with the beautiful music of Marcel. Marcel you are the best Arab musician we grew up on your songs they tought us to stand up for ourselves. Your songs were the anashead of the intifafda. Please come back to NY. "Alhima awiya" and with great artists like you it just gets stronger.

name: Samer Marwany
country: U.S.A
comments: I usually hit the road driving to my work at 5:30 a.m. in the morning. The roads are some how empty, the sky is dark, and sometimes the wind is blowing. In this dark scenery, I listen to Marcel Kahilfe's songs like "Rita"," Jawaz el Safar", " Ard el Janoub", and " Bilal". The heavenly melodies and beautiful lyrics takes me back to my childhood playgrounds in my village in the south and Beirut. Your music gives me a break from the materialistic surrounding and sends me to a world of simplisity and purity. I have American freinds that started to like your music, especially "Shams el Shamouseh". They also like Fairouz's " Tic Tic ya em Soliman". Thay call it " Tic Tic Tic". I would like to know when you would be touring again in the U.S.A. Thank you for your art.

comments: Marcel,
I have grown up with your beautiful words and music. I met you once when I was a kid and gave you a huge hug as if you were a member of my family. I went to one of your concert as a child too. Now that I am grown up I see your art as some of the most beautiful and appraisable I have seen. Thank you very much for the wonderful music and words you bring to us and for your strong convictions and morals stands
Sincerely,
Ammar
