country: U.S.
subject: Thank You
comments: Mr. Khalife, Thank you for your commitment to the Arab cause.
I am a lover of your beautiful country Lebanon. I believe that we all belong to the same country the "Arab country". I was introduced to your songs and music at an early age, and I can say you have been a good friend of mine for many years. You thaught me the beauty of words, introduced me to our poets, and soothed my senses with your music.
Our friendship will stay for years to come.
Out of curiosity, I checked the honors you have received from different country, I saw you have received none from Morocco, my country of birth, but Sir rest assured the Moroccan people have given you the highest honor for your art, the honor to be in their heart and the speaker of their dreams. My Best Regards,
Bouthayna

name: Samiha
country: Tunisie/France

name: Alya
country: UK
subject: Could you be so kind as to forward this?
comments: Dearest friends,
I am the president of the Friends of Palestine society at my university. Although we are a small, modest group of people, we endeavour to do as much as we can to emphasise the beautiful side of our lands, our rich cultural heritage and spirit. I am a pianist and I have done a fund-raising concert for charities working in Iraq and Palestine. We, as a society, would like to organise a large scale event, with mind to fund-raising and showing people the side of us we wish to celebrate. this is a far-fetched request, but I must try. May I please be forwarded Mr. Khalife's email address (or his company) so I may convey my intentions directly to him or those working for him? My email address is alsultani@hotmail.com. I leave you in hope and thanks for your patience.
Alya

name: NAJIB NASSAR
country: BAISSOUR- LEBANON
subject: SOMETHING TO SAY...
comments: it is essential to say that MARCEL KAKIFE was opened a new horizon for the GLOBAL MUSIC,is was appear when i listened to one of his best songs AMMORO BESMEKEE, the creation was on the combination between two civilisations ,KALIFE combined the oud and the piano by making them play the same HARMONY in different nota,so you can notice that there is a TOTAL HARMONY INVOLVEMENT in the whole song as well..the oud can play the nota of the piano ...and the piano do the same...here..the limits between the two instruments was broken by replacing it with one unique melody.not to forget to thank ramy kalife as well because of his best efforts to make this creation appears.

name: Mabrouk
country: Tunisia
subject: Merci Khalifa
Encore merci beaucoup Marcel.
encore merci beaucoup marcel

name: Bronya Clyde
country: US
subject: Wanting to explore the music of Palestine
comments: I was very pleased to discover your site! I am an American interested in better understading the everyday life and struggles of the people of Palestine. A couple of months ago, I saw a story on CNN featuring a young Palestinian rap trio. I believe the group's name was MRW. Since then, I have been hoping to locate more information on them. Any info out there?? I am also longing to hear other Palestinian artists who speak out about oppression and the hopes for an independent home state. Although I do not have an Islamic background, I am interested in the culture- particularly in the struggle of the Palestinian people. I hope that the world of music will help expose the need for support of these people. Music is a language for all to understand. Best wishes!!
