comments: This message is simply to express my sincere gratitude to Marcel Khalife for his wonderful artistic and political contributions in the arab scene. I have been listening to his work since I was a student in France. I found in his work the motivation and the courage to continue to struggle politically and morally for a better world. I am sure Professor Khalife has touched millions of lives in the arabic and non-arabic worlds. He always represents a symbol of courage, creativity, and peace.
I attended his concert in Minneapolis, MN in the Fall of 1996. I wish he could visit again.

Thanx a lot for this great site. I'm a great fan of Marcel, he is simply fantastic... we all grew up on his music... he's sort of the conscience or the voice of conscience of all ARABS !
My question concerns his concerts , when and where are they taking place , in Europe especially! Please update the concert schedule section. If Marcel isn't concerting at the moment , then please let him know that he'd totally sell out in Prague , or any other European capital ..... I'd love to go see him , but please let us know on time !!!! thanx a lot ,

It is with no small amount of joy and deep appreciation that I thank
you for this opportunity.
As you have surmised by my name, I am not of Arabic descent, but I can
not help but have a heart overflowing with gratitude for what you have
modeled and endured for Arabic peoples and all humanity, and moreso for the
music that has freed us and given us tangible moments peace and hope.
While studying guitar at University, i was introduced to your music,
and it was an awakening for me. I listened to your tape at home with
child-like giddiness, almost in disbelief at music that so made my heart
swell and sing again. For the first time I began to compose with a new voice
that was indigenously and genuinely mine. Your music proved to be for me a
key to unlocking my musical expression.
Moreso, when i saw you briefly televised on CSPAN for your visit for
the Arab Anti-Discrimination meeting, I was sincerely convicted and humbled
by your heart and demeanor.
Words fail me for the gratitude and respect I feel.
And though this seems strange and absurd, I initially contacted Nagam
for an address where I could send you an invitation. God has sent me a
bride, and though it would seem a strange gesture at first, I wanted to
share my great joy with the greatest of musicians. Simply a gesture of
honor, to invite you to a wedding. I realize this unheard of with your
schedule. But know you are in our hearts.
